Sediment Buildup
The calcium carbonate sediment, a natural consequence of heating hard water, and suspended solids from incoming water can build up on the bottom of the water heater over time.
The sediment buildup insulates the bottom of the tank from the anode rod and can cause lower element failure in electric heaters. In gas water heaters it can cause the bottom of the tank to overheat and damage the protective lining of your tank.
We can help you regularly flush your unit to extend its lifetime.
Improper Water Heater Size
If your water heater is too small for your home or business, it can overwork your unit. Not only are you likely to run out of hot water, but your tank is subject to greater expansion and contraction, ultimately reducing its life expectancy.
We can help assess your water needs and determine what size water heater you need.
